Fall Protection
Employees working over a certain height must have a backup plan to control potential injury from falls due to loss of balance. OSHA requires that fall protection be provided at an elevation of four feet (general industry), and when working over dangerous equipment and machinery, regardless of the fall distance.
Facilities Services employees that need to perform jobs at elevated heights must comply with the use of fall protection as minimum backup safety protection, in addition to other secondary protections.
